Placebo Live In Temse (Belgium, 1972)

Really amazed to find this footage of one of my favourite jazz rock groups fronted the incredible Marc Moulin. One of the first jazz groups to really understand held back, moody grooves and channelling jazz into something a little bit more considered and simple. Pity there’s no footage from a year or two later when Moulin was using synthesizers a lot more.

Photo of 1/2 of Hyperborea from last night’s show with Council of Elders. Who blew the roof off with their dense krautrock inspired psychedelic music. Reminiscent of Popol Vuh, Dom & Pärson Sound all at the same time. Incredible!

Krakatau - Riddells Creek

Recorded live on 16mm, out late July on Trouble In Mind Records .

Water Near a Bridge, whilst having very real origins geographically, more importantly implies a metaphor for the band. It captures the early experimental improvisation sensibility of the group whilst also sees farewell to two original members who were integral to our development. The water flows by, but hasn’t quite passed…

War - Koronos (1983)

THIS THING Display Home #3 excerpts (copy right issues caused it to close early). Me playing some records.
